Also known as "Walking Ladders". These are designed by Oddballs and are of lightweight but strong aluminium construction, with rubber feet. There's an extra large gap between the top two rungs so you can grip the top rung with your knees as you move about. Available in four standard heights.

RP Walking Globe

Walking globes are one of the more advanced balancing props, but once mastered can become the basis of many more complex tricks and routines. The idea is to get onto the globe itself and then maintain the balance by taking small steps forwards, backwards and sideways. Once balance has been achieved, you can start using it to move around (walk backwards to move forwards) and then learn to juggle and perform other tricks on it.

The RP walking globe is not as heavy as the Voltige version which makes it a little less stable underfoot but a lot cheaper. The surface is smooth plastic so it’s worth using bare foot or with decent rubber soled shoes.
70cm high. This walking globe is quite big to transport but should fit in most cars. Weight: 16kg

This size is ideal for teaching and workshops as its very tough and hard wearing.
